Shaw Morra 10 ball king of hill

Morra has not done well in challenge matches against fellow pros. He lost to Bergman, Oscar, and got blitzed by Shaw now.

For these high profile challenge matches he is winless from what I can remember unless you include his win over a poker player from Calgary who had not played on the pro scene in pool for years..

Morra vs Darren in a challenge match seems due, I am not sure either guy has won one so at least it would get one of these guys out of their rut.

The Bergman and Oscar matches were like 4 years ago or more. I would like to see them step up and play Morra now. The way Jayson has been shooting lately I don't think a lot of pros will be lining up to play him right now either..

agree I had take Shaw over everyone now. think he would even beat SVB in 10 ball, definitely in 8 or 9

I didn't watch this event, but from what others have reported we had:

15-4 in 8-Ball
21-13 in 9-Ball
21-14 in 10-Ball

57-31 in total

Now, that's a pretty sound beating!

It'll be interesting to see whether Jayson carries his stellar play of late through the DCC events.

Didn't Morra beat Earl in a similar King of the Castle challenge match? And that was couple months ago so he's not entirely winless.

I'm sure he can get played if he wants to really get his feet wet.

It'll be interesting to see how he ends up by the end of DCC. He says he's gonna enter every event. I'm sure he'll be in action plenty as well. One thing is for sure, he's not lacking in confidence.

I am pretty sure you would get all the even action you could stand if SVB and Shaw played a challenge match in those three games. You could mortgage your house and still have people lining up once you had all of that bet.

Jayson and Morra are the 2 probably most improved players of past couple years but based on his performance this month , Jayson has a seat in inner circle of top tier (probably only about 20 seats ). If he continues like this his seat in inner circle may be more permanent
No offence to Morra but Jayson v Darren may be more even match :)

Now that would be the match to look for in coming months. With his current form , IMHO Jayson has edge. What I would like to see is Shane v Anton Raga LOL
:)

Jayson is just plain scary. The only thing that can derail him is his head and overconfidence. He plays so fast, with his one stroking, that if he is a tad off and starts missing it will be interesting to see how down on himself he gets and especially if he is strong enough mentally to put himself back together. But, seldom if ever, have I seen a player so confident and dominating. Pleasure to watch this talent.

im sure i could, and im not interested in re mortgaging my house but id happily put couple hundos on jayson in any of those games or all three.

in a race to a hundy?

He already proved that he can hang with Shane in that race. With the way he's playing now, it's not too hard to see him winning it in a rematch. That's not too say it's anything close to guaranteed tho.

shane isn't the unbeatable guy that lots of people seem to think. he's human. the fact of the matter is, the rest of these younger guys are catching him. just like the field caught up with tiger.

I'm sure most would. But Jayson when he is in stroke is probably the best 9/10 ball player in the states right now on the big table.
