Hello everone,I'm currently running a auction on ebay, and high bidder is from Hong Kong has zero feedback and has been a member since 2001 should I cancel him as a bidder or let it go for now and see if he gets out bid...

Thanks Nick

Nick,

What's the item number? Normally I would not worry about it until there is only a day or so left in the auction. What I would do now is revise the listing by adding the following additional information: "No international bids please".

One time I tried to cancel a last minute bid by an international bidder, and I mistakenly cancelled my highest bidders legit bid. It cost me $150.

Chris

thanks for your help

The first thing I llok at is the feedback. I just had someone buy a 4k7 and wanted it shipped to indonesia. He had 0 feedback so I told him the auctions are listed us only and contacted e bay for credit.
You have to be carefull with overseas buyers. If you do sell to one with no feedback I let them now that they will have to pay with cashiers check or money order.

Nick,

Looks like you really do not have anything to worry about until the reserve is met. You could state the only method of payment for international bidders is Paypal from a Confirmed address.

You state in your auction you only ship to the US, and besides the reserve is not met. To answer your question...NO I would not ship to Indonesia to someone with no feedback. I probably wouldn't ship to Indonesia period, too much can go wrong.

Jim

P.S. If you just want to ship it to my house, go ahead. I'll make sure it gets fed and well taken care of :D :D

I saw that SW come up for sale.

I would go ahead and cancel the Hong Kong bid and put him on your no bid list, plus I would put in the auction "international bidders please contact me for pre-approval". The reason why I would do this decisively is because it's possible they are testing you to see if you will accept an unsolicited, low feedback international bid to be able to scam you later.

You may not want to cut off all intl. bids. You might end up getting a high offer from a foreign bidder. There are several collectors/dealers in Germany, Switzerland, Canada, and Japan that pay up for Franklin SW's. You don't necessarily want to cut them off completely.

Most of the experienced international buyers I've dealt with can provide you with a reference list of other e-Bayers they've dealt with.

Good luck with the auction.

Chris

Your high bidder posts here on AzBilliards. I sold a Bender to him. Nice guy. No problems.

That's good enough for me. How come you didn't leave him feedback?

Hi Chris,

If I'm not mistaken, a while back, you managed to outbid me at the last second on a nice old Palmer. It had a Titlist forearm, and the name plate said something like "Cue and Rack Billiards." I'm just wondering how that one turned out. I've always been a little curious about it.

Steve,

Sorry about that. I have had some complaints about my sniping. I am using a bidding software called Bidnapper and I have no clue who's bidding on what - I pick out what I want to bid on and it bids with 4 seconds left in the auction.

The Rack and Cue is a First Catalog Model 6 - it came out beautiful - I love that one. It was from a seller, Davecards on E-Bay who has since become my friend.

I am experimenting with a web-site. Actually, I just created it today. Here it is - you're the first one to see it - go to the first catalog cues and click on the Model 6 button at the bottom to see it. The Rack and Cue Model 6 is the one on the right, with a gold label.

Please let me know what you think. The site's a rough outline but I think you'll get the idea.

The Palmer Collector

Chris
