Used to be. And we played a lot on the snooker table at the Golden Cue years ago

Ummm, in Arizona? Sorry, couldn't resist. I don't live down there, but my advice would be to find a pool hall that has one or more snooker tables and hang out there playing snooker until you find someone who plays. Another tactic that I've used is to find a few good pool players and then teach them to play snooker. I've never met anyone who liked to play pool that didn't love to play snooker once they learned how.
