I am planning on going to both BCA and VNEA Jr Nationals this year since both are in driving distance. There will be a qualifier for BCA three hours away which I plan to play well in. I normally don't play on 9ft tables, but I have been playing more and more on the Gold Crown in town. I won't be working as much at the bowling alley since leagues are finishing up, so money is becoming limited. If any pool business/website or any kind person is interested in helping me out send me a private message and we can work out a plan. Donations will be used for table time, gas, and lodging.
Thanks.:)

To celebrate your 18th bithday of a couple days ago, I'd be happy to contribute $50 to your cause, Tanner. PM me an address to mail it to.

I hope some other posters, several of whom advocated sponsorship of you as our AZB representative at the 2006 US Open, will follow suit here.

Tanner...Following up on what was posted, here's what a junior player that I took to Jr. Nationals did in a lot smaller town than you live in. He went to many of the local businesses and asked for small donations ($25). In return, he had a shirt made, to wear during the tournament, with each of the sponsors' logos silkscreened on the back. Afterwards, we put together a nice story about the trip, mentioning the generousity of all of the local sponsors, and got it printed in the local newspaper. IIRC he collected over $400, and that was 15 years ago. Best of luck...

If there is time

get one of your favorite Pool rooms that know and support you to throw
a 'Sponsorship tournament'. Hold a 32 player tournament at $10 entry, the room puts in 50% for $480 total. Award the winners with prizes, like shirts, caps, etc.. with most of the money going to you, Tanner for sponsorship.

Perhaps, too, since you have an X-Breaker, Richard might be willing to put a few X-Breaker shirts and caps (they are neat) in the tournament
as prizes to help sponsor you too.

You could wear their shirt or patches on your shirt while playing.

It is hard to get 10 people in my town to a tournament. :( But that is a cool idea. Thanks!

Tanner,

when do you need the money by (date)? How long are you going to solicit sponsorship?

Please reply by pm with that info and the amount collected (at your cut off date)
