I went to cover my first pool tournament for AZBilliards.com at Bike Week in Daytona, Florida in 1999. The event was the Camel 9-Ball Shoot-Out at Biketoberfest. Mike Sigel and Jeanette Lee were in a Challenge match versus Steve Mizerak and Ming Ng. What a great event to witness! Outdoors, near the beach, a HUGE crowd! Steve was a gracious player and talking to the crowd and having fun. Scott Smith was the ref for the event. Mike and Jeanette ended up winning the $10,000 prize, but check out some of the photos of Steve during the match:
