Only ESPN would call making the 9 on the break the "Super Shot of the Match" as if Karen planned it. Cheeezzzzz
 
You took the words right out of my mouth. Just another reason straight pool is my favorite game. It is too bad more folks don't play it.

it seems they always pick a lucked-in ball as a "super shot". go figure. it was cool watching ga young kim take it after blowing the final last year. now it can stop haunting her.
 
Yes, it was cool to see her win. She has an impressive break shot. I was watching her stroke on the break. It looked like her arm almost went into a corkscrew shape and uncoiled with a vengance! I drool at her ability to do that and hit the 1-ball dead on!

Super Shot - Not

I think the reason they picked the shot, as being super is because of the body english she used in guiding in the nine. They thought that was entertaining.

"THIS GUY MITCH - HAS GOTTA GO".
Think about this - If he was any good at announcing - why wouldn't he land a real media job. Alan Hopkins is good but no one can be very good with that idiot. THEY HAVE TO STOP TRYING TO IMPRESS THE AUDIENCE WITH THEIR VOCABULARY THAT THEY ARE USING OUT OF CONTEXT. IT IS AN INSULT.

Our sport deserves a knowledgeable announcer. I have mentioned plenty available in the past and I hope you all agree.

We all do agree. Unfortunately, ESPN doesn't care about us...but they do care about Mitch!! :D

And, not off topic, I think that when they say 'super shot of the match', what they really mean is 'holy shit moment'.
