I have an GC4 in an AC basement, In the summer months it plays quite slow. I would like to add a billiard style heater to it. Has any one done that? Could you use a mat style floor heater glued to the bottom of the slate?

Electric heating blankets, just a thought:D

You could try these:

The company I work for manufactures these for cold weather state satellite dish installations. I'm not sure how well the adhesive would stick to the bottom of the slate of if it would even generate enough heat to thoroughly warm the slate. Being in So Cal, I've never personally held one or sold one to any of my retailers.

I've seen some impressive things done with space heaters...duct work or louvers to direct the air flow..
You could even build a tent under the GC to hold the heat and cause it to rise up and not out.

Get accu-stats style heated light system, turn them on a half hour or so before you play. Problem solved, sweaters delight'
