Taig Micro Lathe II

If you call Taig they can supply you with a bed of just about any length you want.
All the attachments (head stock, tail stock, carriage) clamp onto the bed and can be moved around as needed.

This lathe has a hole thru the spindle of about .36" and is not large enough for a shaft to pass thru.
Not very useful for a cue maker.
I have seen these lathes sell new for around $300 without the motor.
Penn State Industries used to sell the complete lathe.

Also, what would a cuemaker typically use this tool for?

Thanks for any help.

He wouldn't.
In an attempt to save everyone some time let me ask you a question. Just what is it that you want to do on a lathe? If you're looking for a review of this particular machine, do a search. It's been written about in detail, same conclusion; too small. If you want to spin shafts, buy a wood lathe at 1/3 the cost. They already have the long ways.
