I hope most of you don't take this as spam, but I didn't know another way to mention something that I think many of you will find helpful to your game. I'm not an aiming nut, in fact I believe aiming systems are mostly unnecessary.

Anyway, take a quick look at this post. If you have $10 and 5 minutes to learn something pretty cool I can almost guarantee it will help some aspect of your game.

You can actually read the first 10 or 15 pages of this book online if you google Poolology.

I have no involvement with this product other than to believe it works. The inventor, Brian Crist, has some hefty medical bills due to his wife's serious health issues. He's a good guy so give this a look.

Just based on what I read in the OP, this sounds like what one well-known pro has been teaching for a long time now.

If it is the same system, it's powerful.

Can you elaborate a little on that? If it is a secret of some kind, pm me. If this particular method, Poolology, has been around for a long time, I'm quite sure a lot more people on AZ would know about it.
 
After watching a Poolology introductory video, I do NOT believe it's the exact same system or method. However, I see where there is a major overlap in a way that I've not seen with any others, except those two.

I think I'm going to order this, because I feel they would greatly compliment each other.

Just going on a gut feeling, as I obviously don't know exactly how Poolology works yet.

If anyone wants to know the pro that teaches a great system that I feel overlaps this......as in they would almost assuredly compliment each other......feel free to PM me.

Anyone have the link to purchase Poolology, btw?

If you want an actual book, there is a link at the lower right side of that website where you can click on it. It is under $20.

I should add that Poolology doesn't really need much instruction. The majority of your shots will be in Zone A, which is the easiest one to learn. It'll take an engineer 5 minutes to get it down, and an artist maybe 10 minutes. :)
 
Aren't all aiming systems about the same with a different name? With the ghost ball, you have to aim so the cue ball takes the place of the ghost ball and hits the object ball in the exact spot in order to make it. With Poolology, on say a 1/2 ball hit, you have to aim so the cue ball is lined up for the 1/2 ball over lap so it hits the object ball in the exact spot in order to make it. With CTE, you have aim the center of cue ball to the edge of object ball, so the cue ball hits the object ball in the exact spot in order to make it. etc,etc,etc......... And Go.....
