The most controversial AZ Billiards post, EVER

Today I decided to go to the pool room to hit some balls.

I was practicing my elbow drop, but I noticed I was getting too much deflection. So I unscrewed my OB-1 shaft and attached my Predator 314. The deflection was reduced, but there was still too much, so I unscrewed my Predator 314 and attached my Predator Z shaft. Aaah. All traces of deflection disappeared.

So then I decided to work on my aiming systems. The balls really weren't dropping. So I switched from CTE to 90-90. Still missing. So I tried switching to shish-ka-bob, still no luck. Then I tried the Grail aiming system while using Perfect Aim and dropping my elbow, and started firing shots in from everywhere!

Just then, an instructor, who was watching me practice, came over to tell me my alignment was off. I told him to get lost; he wasn't a pro player, so how could he possibly help me?

Then I just decided to give up and go home. The best female player Allison Fisher would get killed by the men, and pool will never be an olympic sport, so why bother?

Jen I have to agree with you. But just play to enjoy the game. I doesn't matter that women will never be as good as men at pool. As long as you have fun. There are a million things that women can do better than men, however, pool is not one of them. I'm sure if you invested as much money in pots and pans as you do in pool sticks, you could be the johnny archer of cooking:grin:

Don't forget how you wanted to light up after, but the state banned smoking in the room and there was nobody there. It's too bad the aiming systems couldn't overcome the static electricity that caused all those skids. Even pre-flag masters and your custom cue didn't help.

Kudos to you!!! I'm still scratching my head at the missed sarcasm...I mean the title of the post pretty much set it up.:grin-devilish::shrug:

I can't wait to get to SBE. I'm going to get one of them z shafts, talk to a pro player about lessons and buy a dvd about the shis ka bob aiming system. Thanks for the advice. When I get back home I'll start working on my elbow drop.

The ONLY aiming system that works is figure the angle, cut it in half, and hit it twice as hard!!!!

Oh yeah, and draw!!!

You need Joe Rogan to post a video about this so I can goof on him and get his pals to rush to his defense.

A very nice try, but without derogatory comments about a well known pro, and possibly his girlfriend as well, you cannot claim the "most controversial ever" moniker ... imo ... fwiw

You nit!!! Don't you know that finding the precise combination of aiming system, approach, cloth type and age, mental stability, size of pre- posted bet, shaft type, cue ball type and age, your shoes, cigarette smoke, perfect cocktail of drugs and alcohol, humidity, pocket size, length of race, whether your opponent is hottt, the type, tightness, and pattern of the rack- ALL these contribute to whether the ball will go into the pocket, on every single shot including the break UNLESS you're a pro, at which point you just ought to be able to make absolutely anything imaginable under any circumstances?

Seriously, I had to concentrate on breathing slowly and quietly while reading this thread to stifle the giggles, making my eyes water, and even still: a short embarrassing snort escaped. This was great. I just wish more people had fallen for it and tried to argue.

You would have played better with a custom cue.

So you suck and are rude to a person you don't know and then you make a jump to Allison Fisher not being able to play men and then something about the olympics. I would hazard to say that your thought process needs a complete overhaul. My advice to you, buy a monopoly board, take it to a park and play with the homeless.

I love this post.

But have you considered that the problem was second hand smoke from Grady's banned by the government was messing up your $5,000 custom cue?
