The One in Eurotour, Weert

The continuing emergence of European pool has been a great story, with Europe's perfromance in the last two major events most impressive.

Three of the last eight in the WPC (Hohmann, Immonen, Roschkowski)
Three of the last four in the BCA Open (Hohmann, Immonen, VanDenBerg)

European pool has never looked better, and the upcoming year on the Eurotour should be the best ever.

... which all adds up to one thing. TheOne needs to bring his "A" game. Good luck Craig.

The One in loser side now

Craig lost his third match to Michael Schmidt 9-2 but still going strong in the loser side 3 matches away from L32.

cheers mate, well it has been an interesting experience. Beleive it or not I almost cancelled my whole trip a couple of days before leaving. I had been home a month and the clostes I got to having a game of 9 ball was watching the masters in Doncaster! I thought I was going to get thrashed but I thought I use Holland to get in stroke for US if I can. So first match I can hardly make a ball and somehow pulled out two pretty decent clearences to come back from 8:7 down to win 9:8.

I beat a pretty decent german 9:2 in my next and then decided to celebrate and get pissed lol! I roll up in the morning 5 minutes before playing only Schmidt and gifted him at least 6 frames (missing the 7,8 or 9!) and got thrashed, no raped 9:2!

I thought I would just relax in my next and enjoy it and won 9:0!

Next I played another Englishman and won 9:4 but alas I ran out of steam.

In my last match to get in the golden last 32 (you get about about 600 Euros for last 32 which is probably $700 which covers expenses) I lost 9:6 to a pretty beatable player. The worse thing was I started well but missed an easy ball to go 4:0 up, 10 mins later I was 4:3 down and didn't really recover from that. He did slop a ball late on at a crucial stage but I had tons of chances to win and didn't really deserve it.

I got 250 ranking points and a measly 100 Euros but first impressions of the Euro tour is very good. The rankings are based on the last 7 events, but interestingly if I finished 33rd in all of the next 6 I would be officially ranked 8th - work that one out!

HOBWeert who posts on AZ owns the club and works like a dog from what I saw. Apart from the 400 million degress temp the club is just fantastic.

So it's world 8 ball qualifies tomorrow and then on to the states!

Sleep...
