Cuemaker Randy Mobley executed this unique Halloween design in 1997.
Ebony points become the hats of three witches. Their variously jeweled eyes, sapphires, rubies, and emeralds are set in ivory faces, glaring over the leather wrap. Blended colors transform fancy grained maple surrounding the witches into an ominously clouded sunset deepening to midnight black at the joint. Diamonds scattered in the darkest part of the sky are stars.
Below the wrap are inlaid three obligatory pumpkin faces sporting jaunty green stems. Close inspection will reveal three different expressions. At the butt plate is a wide golden band engraved for presentation.
Jack-o-lanterns should glow, and these do! As do the witches eyes and stars! The cue is powered by a one-of-a-kind prototype apparatus made in collaboration with Randy Mobley and Clark Instrumentation.
This is believed to be the world’s first luminous engineered cue.
