Action, Players, and Schmelke sneaky pete's all play good for the price.

Schmelke may be the best quality for $100 and they are customizable
 
You can get a Dominiak Custom cue for 189.00 I believe it is! For the money, you can't really argue with that.
 
Thanks for the input guys. I have never bought a cue before so not really experienced in the cue buying field. So, what is wrong that stick. The one you linked to, I dont really like the look. I am picky about looks, but more picky about feel. Thanks for the help
 
I think it is much better than the other cue you picked out. probably one of the best options in that price range

usually like 30 people would have responded by now to help you. I guess everyone is busy.
 
Heubler SP

I read about two different Heubler sneeky petes that members are selling right now in the for sale forum. One wanted an offer and the other wanted $185. There are many good choices available to you...I suggest the Heubler because it is a quality cue and a great place to start.

As for the cuetec, I've seen Strickland and Allison Fisher do amazing things with them right off the rack, but I wouldn't want one even if they were free. But that's the beauty of opinions...everybody has one.

Stick with what john says. You can't get a better price and quality for $120 on this Dominiak Cue:

After playing for some time, you will kick yourself for going with cuetec. Schmelke isn't bad either in that price range. I recommend also checking out ebay and maybe snapping up a cheap Falcon or Joss.

Huebler Sneaky pete. For that price range, no question. Had one many years ago, still trying to replace it.

You can always go with a used Sneaky from a reputable cue maker also. The used cues on here are in very good condition and have been pretty well priced given the cue market right now is stiff.

And I have had 3 Lucasi's, and the Huebler is better hands down

You really seem to be going for the "I just read about pool and want something to match my black leather jacket, my black shades and my black Camaro" look. A word of advice, walk into a pool room with a graphite stick and every player in there will A. talk about you behind you back and B. ask you to play for money, usually with a spot like "you can take 3 of your balls off the table" in 8-ball.

The Lucasi are nice, but if you want something you can play with that feels nice and you won't feel like a heel for owning in 6 months, get one of the lower end wood models.

edit - none of this is meant as a dig at your taste, but just a gentle nudge toward the classy side of pool and away from the I play to look cool route.

Actually, its a red Corvette. Just messing around. I dont play pool to look cool, I play cuz I love it, and have loved it for a long time. I have never really bought a higher end stick before. Thats why I was wanting your guys' advice. I just liked that stick a lot but if there is better, I am going with what you guys say, definitely. Thanks for the help

I agree with yally...the p/j for 120.00 is a great value......have a Kamui medium installed and you will be very happy....jmo

Peronally I would go with the Dominiak at that price.
of course since I have one of his best I may be a bit biased....
Can't go wrong with the Huebler sneaky if it's in pretty good condition, which they've been popping up alot lately.
maybe a low end Joss, Schmelke, McDermott, Mueller's has some package that's in that range, as I'm sure a ton of other sites do.
I wouldn't go with a graphite cue if you paid me. Well, maybe if you paid me.....
But whatever you get, if it has a real maple shaft, and is made in the USA I'm sure it will be more than adequate.
Although there are alot of cues made overseas that are arguably as good as anything out there; Lucasi being one of them, I just seem to take more pride in having something that's made here and doesn't have 10,574 brothers out there that are 100% identical. It's harder to lose that way.
Hence..... the Dominiak or Schmelke would be my top choices so far....
Cornerstone always has a pretty good selection and variety and may have something that fits what you're looking for.
Or you could put up a post in the Wanted /for sale section here. Someone always has something to part with!
Just my .02 worth-
 
i have a blueish green, or maybe its just green Cuetech with a SST shaft.. it is brand new.. i would be willing to sell it for $75 shipped priority insured..

I would buy a McDermott from Bill at Cornerstone he will hook you up and they have a lifetime warranty.
