I'm going to mexico next week,5 star resort,all the cervasa's I can put in my belly.Anyway,was on trip advisory to check out my resort and I read and seen there was a nice pool table in the sports bar.But a few people said half the cues did not have tips on them.
Well,I went out and bought a tip repair kit and am going to retip their cues while I'm there.Theres nothing more annoying as when you go to play pool and places have substandard equipment.The next people would appreciate it I'm sure.

Bring chalk, too. Those places never have it....I don't understand how people can shoot pool without it.

If I were going to 5 star hotel with "sub" equipment... I'd be tempted to call them and tell them I was someone really important (like an heiress) and love to play billiards and ask them what kind of equip they have. Put them on the spot.:)

thats cool man. it sucks when youre playing at a bar and no one is having fun because all the cues are warped and you have no chalk. maybe some people will have some fun playing thanks to you.

I personally get a kick out of going into those places. I found I can roll the cue to get my desired english:eek: . That is as long as they do have chalk, no chalk really sucks:mad: .

You just get your ass down here so I can teach you a thing or 2 about a thing or 2 in pool .lol:grin:
 
what about a 5 pack of slip on tips? They work great in a pinch, and won't take any of your vaca time. I've used them before, and although not great, they are good enough.

Which resort...where at?

Cancun...I'm thinking.

You'll be smart to bring along some powder also. The humidity is something else.
