I am trying to help a local guy here who struggles a little bit to get a decent cue. He is a great cuy that loves the game but doesnt have the money to get a decent cue because of having to pay for medicine for Parkinsons.

Me and a couple other people are looking to pitch in a surprise him with a cue. I was wondering if anyone here on AZ would have something like a Lucasi or maybe a lower end Joss that they could sell cheap. Doesnt have to be brand new but I would like to give him something that looks good. We know that his game wont improve but we just want him to feel and look good doing it lol. Any help would be great. Thanks

I want to say that one of the nicest things that I have ever seen just happened. A member here by the name of a1712 just gave me a Leon Sly sneaky pete for my friend. That is a truely amazing gesture. I never would have thought that anything like this would happen. I want to say publicly THANK YOU SO MUCH BRIAN!!!!!!!!!! IT WILL NOT BE FORGOTEN!!!!!

I have this Fury that is a real nice hitter/player. Lightly played, 19-19.5 oz, 13mm shaft. It's a $200 retail cue that I can't sell for $100 so I've been waiting for a chance to make someone happy with it..For you and your ill friend, I'll send it to you for what it costs me to ship it. Attached are pictures. Let me know if you want it.

Your a class act Mr Farr. For every 10 ugly pool stories....a good one usually emerges somewhere...and this is one. Thats a kind gesture...and a nice looking cue.
 
That's amazing. I can't match that deal!

But, I would be willing to kick in a 1x1 oval hard case to go with the cue. Nothing fancy but it's in nice shape. There will be Master chalk and a tip scuffer in the storage pouch too.

Can't have that pretty cue running around without a hard case.

There really are some great folks on here!!
First a couple folks offer cues at discounted prices, then Bob offers a nice cue for the cost of shipping, then Chopdoc offers a case shipped free, then 1712 aka Brian trumps the hand with a nice cue shipped for free!!

My hat is off to all of you gentlemen!!
It is nice to know you all, even if it is just through cyberspace:thumbup:

There is some kindness . . .

. . . left in the world. There have been a lot of people step up to help out an AZ'er over the years . . . it do make ya' feel good! Very nice of these folks to make a good thing happen.

Let us know how he likes the cue.
