Tyler not in the Mosconi

I apologize if this has been covered. Anyone have thoughts on why Tyler was not picked?

Could have something to do with his losing match record despite the US winning the previous 2 Mosconi Cups. There has been some speculation on here about his game not being held in as high regard by JJ as it was by Rusnik.

He played two singles matches in the 2019 Mosconi and lost both of them 5-1. He also lost his final singles match in the 2018 Mosconi with a chance to close out Europe. It's in singles where you earn your salt in the Mosconi. With a three match losing streak in singles, his inclusion was far from a no-brainer to me, although I'd have been fine with it if he'd been selected. Jeremy, as assistant captain, was there both years on the sidelines to see it up close, however, so I'll trust his judgement here. Guess he saw something that concerned him.

By the way, Josh Roberts would also have been a nice pick in this spot. Josh, a strong player to start with, beat Van Boening at the Derby City 9-ball this January, and what Team USA most needs is guys who can beat the elite players in tough spots.
