Hi folks, we all know when it comes to hanging score beads, our options are pretty limited.
For your consideration, I have a unique scorekeeper available. Several years ago, I was browsing through an antique shop in Lancaster, PA and saw four of these “egg shaker crates”. I was told they were used to rotate eggs and the 100’s of little holes were there in case an egg broke, it would just filter through. There was four of these and I bought them, not having any idea what I would do with them. About a month ago I realized they would make for a perfect way to hang a set of score beads. I searched and scoured for ways to secure the wire while keeping the wire tight.
Because there are so many holes, you are guaranteed to hit two different studs in any 16”OC wall which makes for easy hanging no matter where you want it. The first one I made and am keeping is hanging about 6ft high in my room which makes it easy to reach right up and set the score without having to use your cue to do so. The second one sold without having to list it. This one here is the last one available as I am using the fourth crate for something different and I have not seen these crates anywhere since I bought those four years ago.
The crate is made of all steel and has that perfect industrial look to it. The beads are mounted on 1/8” cable and they glide back and forth effortlessly. The cable is right and locked in place by using copper split bolts. The crate is 46” long, 12” tall and 3.5” deep. It weighs 9.5lbs.
The price is $350 shipped and will only be shipped within the lower 48. I can accept PayPal. I am paying the shipping so I ask that you add the 3.5% for the PayPal fee or send as a friends and family gift to avoid the fee. Up to you.
I am available to meet locally in the Avondale, PA area 19352 if someone would like to pick it up in person.
Thank You, John
