Do any of you installers have experience with velocity cloth? I see a few posts with people asking. We would appreciate any wisdom you have on this.
 
Velocity is a new worsted cloth and in testing has been found to have performance comparable to 860 and 3030.
You can check this post from a room owner in MO that has it installed.
 
I too had the same questions concerning Velocity cloth. The LPH owner here that set up my table suggested I try it on my home table, a 4 x 8 Olhausen. I went to his hall to shoot a nice GC3 that he had just finished refelting (3-30-07) and I have to say I was very impressed with the roll of the balls and the speed. I told him to order me the cloth, he will be here this week to install it on table.
 
We sell Velocity and the early feedback from customers is good. In testing the cloth got favorable reviews however it was just recently introduced to the market so it's going to take time to see how it fares in true playability and durability compared to other better known worsted cloths. Current Velocity pricing makes it a good choice as a slightly higher priced worsted cloth upgrade to woolen cloths like Titan, Ultra and Forstmann.
 
i recovered 12 of the tables in pool room recently. 11 in simonis 860 and 1 in velocity. the velocity was installed without the knowledge of the players or employees. no one has said a thing yet. i have about 1 hour playing time on it and like it. time will tell as for as durability. too bad it is not available in 78" width.
 
We are getting ready to order between 6 and 12 pre cut sets of Velocity from Dartman. From what I have heard it it very good, time will tell as in most things. I'll try anything once. Well most anything:D I will post feed back as soon as we order and install.

We discount multiple cuts on phone orders so make sure to call rather then order online.
 
Well, my table has be reclothed for 3 days now. I must say the velocity cloth is WONDERFUL as to date. Still alot of slide due to brand new cloth but speed is unreal, I had a good friend come over and was playing and wanted to know what I paid for the cloth and installation and when I told him, his reply was "siminos isnt cheap buddy". When I told him it wasnt siminos he told me i was lying. No cloth plays like siminos does, and this is Siminos......Ill let him in the dark for now...:D
