Very disappointed with Bcn!

I'm wanting to send a "message" to Bcn regarding their coverage of the Derby City thing. I want them to know that I am NOT happy with them and that I will not spend one cent on the coverage they are offering this year...NOT ONE CENT.

Last year was not perfect but it was WONDERFUL!!

I thoroughly enjoyed watching the ring games and other matches live and was amazed that it cost only $10 for the whole thing. I said pubicly that I'd be willing to pay a lot more for the same coverage in 2005 and expected that they would expand their coverage and maybe charge $50 or even $100 for the whole thing. I'd have gladly paid that much, to be able to watch matches on any given 2 or 3 tables of my choice, 24/7, with commentators only provided during special matches or events.

But Bcn has given up on the live coverage and the ring game, for example, is available the next day....THE NEXT DAY(!!) for $14.95. They can take "next day" coverage and shove it! I'm disappointed and pissed off.

Do you folks feel angry with Bcn like I do. Chime in and maybe we'll be able to start a movement here.

Bcn Coverage

I agree. I found out yesterday what the deal was and figured I would watch it for free when it was broadcast on ESPN. If I have to watch it taped delayed I might as well wait for the broadcast. They had a good thing going and as usual, screwed it up. Just my 2 cents.

I Agree

I am also VERY disappointed. I watched last year and found it to be exciting, spontaneous, and overall a sense of "being there" because it was live and unedited. I feel now that I'll either wait for TV broadcast or purchase a dvd in the future.

I agree. I would pay up to 40 dollars for live coverage of the DCC for 24/8 like last year. Paying 5 to 15 dollars per match is to much considering you can't really tell which ball is next and the break in feeds. I would rather just buy them from Accu-stat.

Well, that makes me feel better. I thought I missed the live webcast yesterday. Too bad - I really enjoyed it last year too, Jim.

Yeah this is crap! I would have paid up to $40 to watch the Live broadcasts. Last year was awesome!! You had a real sense of being there, we all kinda huddled in the chat room and discussed upcoming matches, previous match etc... JUST LIKE BEING ON THE RAIL!! I think we even had bets going. The action is what i pay for. Watching something when i know the results is retarded and i won't pay BCN another cent either. Is this a bandwidth problem or a greed problem?
