I'm looking for something nice and classy to display my fine collection of cues in my gameroom at home. I'm looking for something made of wood and glass, not plastic! Please don't waste your time posting about the acrylic display from Sterling... Please drop me a line if you have any ideas... Otherwise I will have to have a custom rifle-cabinet built to my specs for cues. Thanks ahead of time!

Cases

I was talking to a furniture maker friend of mine last week. He said that if I have the design specs he can build it. He hates designing stuff. Says it will be a lot cheeper if he has the plans. I am trying to figure out how many cues
it should hold.

I use to go to a pool hall in Waldorf, MD where the guy, Butch, had recessed display cases between the wall studs. They had a light and held 3 cues each. There were several of them in a row. I am working on a design.
You have any ideas, let me know. Maybe my friend will build a couple of them.

I have a really nice mirrored case. Its about 62" x 30". It has an old world finish similar to traditional cherry. 2 glass doors with decorative handles. Asking $550 plus shipping. I'll get some pics if you are interested.

Wall cases

I was looking for a case myself, and found this site. I ended up going with a cheap case for now, but will definately consider these in the future.

Hope this helps.

Cue Display Case

I too, wanted a display case. I could not find what I wanted. I designed and built what I consider a really nice display. It hold 13 cues and about 50 shafts.

But as in most I ended up more in it than I wanted.

The oak was about $100. I took it to a glass shop for the sliding glass doors. When it was done I had about $250 in it.

My labor was free.

I will get a pic posted.

I am in the process of building a case with black cherry from a tree that I cut down in my yard. The wood has nice quartersawn rays that should finish very sparky. I'd love to see your design because I've gone back and forth with my thoughts. One issue I can't seem to decide is whether to display the butts only, or shafts also. Including shafts gets awkward because my different cues have 1, 2 or 3 shafts. Thanks!

cases

i have two cue cases in my house, that i want to sell. They are both the same, custom made. Each has two glass sliding doors with built in lights. Each one holds 8 cues and sixteen shafts. All the joints are double dovetailed in different colored wood. They also haave diamond shaped inlays. They are magnificent. If your looking for high end beautifull wood and workmanship, these are for you. If your interested email me at tikkler@aol.com............thanks, steve piesner

Donald-

I was thinking about an upright rifle display type design... That way the cues could be displayed on one piece. I'm looking to hold at least 12 cues, tempered glass front, and a backlight. Maybe a small storage compartment underneath? A shelf that's hidden while the door is closed or something like that. If your friend can build it I'm interested!

Pool School-

I'd love to see some pics. How many cues does it hold? Is it wired for a light already?

Are you coming up for the chicago pool school?
