This is just to let you all know that you can watch live pool right now via the internet. There is another thread for the Guinness tour.

Go to SOPCAST Channel 6029. We are now into the 2nd match of the quarterfinals. Lee Van Corteza has defeated Ronnie Alcano 9 to 8 in the first match.

Wu is now leading over his Singaporean opponent 8 to 6 in a race to 9 winner breaks format.

Next match to be broadcast live is FP Chao vs Orcullo.
 
No luck for me, I gave up for now...

No luck for me, I gave up for now... I installed the LINUX client, but could not get it to work. I booted into Windows 98 to try the windows client, and the install failed twice. I got an error during the
installation stating that the runtime was asked to terminate unexpectedly. :(

Has anyone else got this to work on Windows 98? I will probably try the LINUX version again later
after some sleep, but I'm willing to try Windows 98 if I hear of some success stories from other folks.

I was really looking forward to watching some matches... Oh yeh, thanks for the link too!

I am sorry to hear about this whitey. I have Windows XP and did not have any problems installing SOPCAST and TVU. But then I had Windows 98 before and did not have any problems watching the WPC via internet too. Maybe someone with more technical knowledge will be able to help you in time for the games to start midnight US est. 2 semifinal matches and then THE final match.

It is now a longer race to 11 and the winner must win by 2 racks.

Dennis wins first game and it is now 1 to 0 with Dennis breaking next.
