What size wrench for Valley leg leveler?

boogieman

It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that ping.
I'm going to help level a few tables here in a few days. What size wrench is used on the leg levelers? I know most can be turned by hand but just in case I'd like to have the correct wrench with me.

I have a long slim piece of purple heart as a lever and a block with a couple of steps in it that allow for different heights for a fulcrum.
I put the block near the leg and use the lever on the bottom to just lift the foot, then spin it by hand. The feet don't always have the flats for a wrench.
Those instructions are funny. "Level your table using the longest level you can find." With pictures of a carpenter's level up there.

I just brought in a bottle jack, a scrap of lumber to sit on it, adjustable wrench and levels.

I got all 12 tables level with the Starrett. Just sat it on a 4' carpenter level for length and on top of a 2' for width. For the most part they weren't horrible, maybe 2-3 marks off, but a couple that had just been moved couldn't even read on the machinist level. One had to have the legs adjusted about 3/8"... no wonder it was rolling off so bad!
