IIRC its basically 'one-cushion', the CB has to hit one rail before OB. Call it '3CushionLite' ;)

in fact 'bricole' is a 'family of points' . In the -Korean- PBA tournaments , normal points = 1 point, "bricole" = 2 points

would an umbrella shot be a type of "bricole"?
yes, for sure . A bricole is a point where the first cue ball contact is a rail or multiple rails before to touch the 1st OB.
You can do rail-rail-ob1-rail-rail-ob2 or 3(or more)rails-oB1-OB2 or rail-OB1-rail-rail-OB2 , or rail-rail -OB1-rail-OB2 ..... the 1st contact of the CB is a rail, so...

'Bricole' is a term for the family when the 1st contact of the CB is a rail. Whatever the game you're playing : there are 'bricoles' points in each discipline : straight rail, balkline, 1 cushion, 3 cushion , 5 pins and artistic billard too !!

all the points on those 3 vids are 'bricoles' aka 'bandes avant' :

an example at 5 pins game :
