What women are in the U.S.OPEN?

Are there going to be any WPBA players in the OPEN or are they told not to enter so the public can't see the HUGE difference in their game compared to the men (other than 2 players).

The reason I ask is that there are quite a few posters around that have the misconception that the touring women pros play as good as the men and I thought maybe they might have put them in the tournament to show us we're wrong.

Personally I would like to see Britney Spears Vs Maddona in very short skirts wearing thongs.

That would pull in the crowds!

and no use of bridges.

Still cracking up at both replies, but I like Gabbers idea better!

Can you picture Harry in his front row seat? His camera lens would be all fogged up. But you sure are right - it would be a crowd pleaser. Jake---MCP

Steve, point me toward these people who think any woman can beat Reed Pierce and I will revive my $10G challenge post.

P.S. Keep this quiet and you're in.

Psssst........hey Bill, I got a ton of guys that will play Reed, but he can't ask for the nuts like he usually does.

Red snuck him up here to Detroit years ago to beat on guys that couldn't make a ball in the ocean.

Shhhhhhhh....I was in.

That's my point exactly Steve. Reed doesn't play any more. Their are many "GUYS" who will play him now but how many girls? Might as well be a rhetorical question because as you know the answer is NONE. Not even snooker on the "5X10". A&K would love to play him on the 6X12 that Reed has never hit a ball on. If they want to play a $5K set of 9 ball and a $5K set of snooker on the 5X10 all they have to do is e-mail me, I'm in the book.

Bridges aren't going to allowed at the Open? What's the reasoning behind that?

Forget the last post. I'm a complete freaking idiot. I suppose that would teach me to read the entire post. Damn college and my use of selective reading.

Mathew,

Hey, at least you caught yourself. Maybe the college training helped you to go back and read it one more time after you posted the first time. Even though this is a billiard site, some of these posters are subject to stray off in other directions from time to time. It makes the reading that more interesting imo.

Well if I can make someone else's day more pleasurable by making dumbass mistakes and comments. I guess it's not a total loss.

Hey, you got all your words spelled right and your sentences make sense. What the heck?

Well that's because I thought about what I was gonna say. Plus like in pool I get good rolls every now and again.

i think these people base their opinion soley on two players,,,corr and fisher.,, or maybe just corr.

a few weeks ago jeanette got slammed in a local tournament in nyc. she got crushed by an A+ and i'don't know about the other match. and a few months ago, fisher got smacked by lipsky at ABCwest.

it all means nothing because pool is unique. there are upsets galore in 9ball. the true test is over a stretch of time. and if there is a large field, there is always the possibilty that a female can get a good draw.

Well, if Maddona and Britney were playing, and as you suggest without a bridge, the steam would be coming from him, imho of course.

He ain't from around these here parts, is he?
