Being a 3C player and with the closest 3C table North of me is 157 miles and Southbound 160, it's a little tough to get some play in.

Coming up in the 60's and having to adapt to whatever equipment was available around the country for 3 cushion was a must. But this is a little different.

Unedited clip of 3C on a pool table. BTW, whenever any ball is pocketed, it gets spotted in the middle of the table.

BTW, obviously there are 6 obstacles for the CB on the table. But for the 2nd and 3rd OB there are possibilities for 'Position play' when they get spotted in the middle of the table.

Even though I’ve played for 65 years and am ashamed to say, I’ve never played 3 cushion. It’s a great game I just know now, nor in the past, ever run into anyone that played it. I would like to play it…looks great!

I played in a room once that put cushion blockers in the pockets.
Not perfect but it was playable.
My high run in 3 cushion is 4.play some?

I play that on my pool table too.

If a ball goes in, I spot it on center spot of the pocket it gets in though, head, foot or middle.

Is there a reason to use center always, as opposed to what I've chosen?

Damn those pockets!

It's a little more forgiving to spot in the middle for the reasons I stated.

On 5'x10' GC 1 pool table at 'Shooters' in Cocoa, FL. about 8 years ago I ran a 13.

The room had a sign posted at the table.

I do that on occasion for practice during league. 3c is great, but 4 ball is more accessible

I've done that in pool rooms and in empty bars to skimp on the coins. I never thought to use billiard balls though. I even have a set. Anybody know which brands won't process the big ball?

NOT using 3C balls! They will not work on pool table. In the video is a, CB, 3 ball & 1 ball.

I play 3 cushion on a pool table all of the time.
Yes, the pockets get in the way so you have to be creative and
no matter how fast the cloth is, it is not like playing on a heated table.
I miss not having a 3C table nearby.

Good table then. They seem to run like billiard balls. The angles won't be standard but anyone who's played with the big barball shouldn't have a problem.

13 on a pool table sounds pretty good

When I think about it, there's no way you could do that if you didn't know how to play.

Lol. 13 is insane on a pool table.

That was interesting. Thanks for sharing.

In an exhibition game to 50 points in 1983 at 'State & Madison Billiards' in Rockford, IL. I ran 24 in the game, it took 17 innings. I missed # 25, a 5-cushion natural by a dry pubic hair.

My High Run in sanctioned tournaments is 16, twice. Once against George Ashby in 85 at the 'Chicago Billiard Cafe' and the second was in 90 in an international event held at 'Abel Caulderon's room' in NYC against Martin Spoormans of Belgium. Raymond Stylerts beat Sang Lee in the final match.

Yeah, but you couldn't do that if you didn't know what you were doing.

I'm sure of that.
