Where do you get your cue making components?

I've seen that cue makers sell parts for making cues (Prather, Hightower, Cue Components, etc). But where do cue makers buy their components in bulk from?

-td <- currently buying up parts from eBay and ordering from Atlas

Sorry, NO!
I had to come back and catch myself,
We cuemakers give up a lot of info, we really try to anyway. But somethings we just can't give up,
What usually happens is we give up certain sources, that person gets swamped with orders of a certain material. Then what happens is the price goes up and the people that actually helped that business now gets put on a waiting list for kmore money and if it's wood, now you get lower quality wood. And yes, I have been there before.

What kind of components? I think you will find that you will want to buy different things from different sources.

I wasn't trying to get the 'double secret information' ;) I guess I should have asked -> for components like ferrules, butt caps, joint material, tips, etc., is there a better source to buy from? I.e., is there a preferred place to buy 'generic' components?

-td <- would rather buy butt material by the foot, rather than by the piece

Prather, and Cueman are a pretty good source for all you mentioned, and their all close in price, It's less expensive to buy the rod for ferrules but I guess two and change each isn't bad either.

I think you will find Atlas to be best for this type of stuff.

Chris Hightower
Prather
Schmelke
Cue Components
