If you could play only one pro player or legend of the game, past or present for one set.Doesnt matter the game.Who would it be?
My pick would be Jose Parica or Cliff Joyner in one pocket

One Pocket would be the game but I would want to play the greatest One Pocket player of all time,,,,,Ronnie Allen.

Mike Sigel. I would love to learn how he sees safeties. If learning that type of thing is possible.

Jersey Red, the "High Priest of Pocket Apiece", on a 5x10 using old-timey balls. The game would be one pocket, of course, and I expect that the game wouldn't last long. :)

After Red blitzed me, I would than play Luther Lassiter a race to 7 9-ball on the same table, for a quarter. :)

I would then take on Irving "the Deacon" Crane in a 150 point straight pool match on the 5x10. To make it fair, he would have to shoot left-handed, blind-folded, with one foot (of his choice) off the floor for all shots, while whistling Dixie. I would bet reasonably high on that one. :)

I'd play Buddy Hall some 9-ball.
He makes those balls click the right way.
Buddy just shows you how to play the game right.
Watching him elevates your game.

Actually, I would like to play the Pearl. That man doesn't just want to win, he wants to bury his opponent. Much to be learned there.

Would mind playing the earthquake either. If you could learn to hang tough while he is woofing at you, you can do it against anyone in the world.

Luther Lassiter - nine ball
Eddie Taylor - Banks
Irving Crane -straight pool
Ronnie Allen - one pocket
RAymond Ceulemans - 3 cushion
Joe Davis - Snooker

Mike Massey - Great character, and he'd probably be the most helpful.
Keith McCready - We could have a few beers. (If I'm going to have my ass kicked, why not enjoy it)
Efren Reyes - To sit in awe. (never seen him play in person)

I'd love to play Allison, Karen and definitely Jeannette! I'd really like to get an idea just how good their game really is.

Of course I'd love to play Efren mainly because of his talent but also because I think he'd be cool about it. I'd hate to play one of the pros and have them ridicule me because I can't play at their level. I could see that happening with some of the pros but not with Efren.

If it has to be a pro then I would play Greenleaf.

Any player from the past and I would get in afew more games against my Grandfather though.

Mark Tad one pocket, banks, or nine ball.
Does anyone know if this guy even plays pool anymore?
I saw him at the L.A. Open like 10 years ago. Man he was something, seems like he had just showed up from nowhere. At that time probobly only Efren was a better all around player, I heard he gave up playing and became religious.

Anyone else know what happened to him?

Without a doubt it would be Efren "bata" reyes. He is my favorite player and it would be amazing to play a few games of 8or9 ball with him, the only problem is i think my jaw would be sore the next morning because it would be dragging the floor all night!!!

I'd love to play 14.1 with James Evans...its been said he took balls off the table as smooth as one could imagine and Marcel Camp in One Pocket. I would love to rack some 9-Ball for Lassiter and watch Hoppe shoot his umbrela shot with clay/ivory billiard balls and thick, slow cloth!! Am I askin' for too much?

I would want to play Mosconi. Why not play the greatest ever if you get the chance for free. T alk about a potential learning experience, this would be the ultimate.

Nick Varner and Buddy. I like their attitude. Common folk...at least that's what I saw in them the one time I was around them at the Superman Classic in Centrailia a couple years back.

He showed up in Morgantown,WV, about a year
ago; played a local guy, Joey Scotchell, 11-5,
& destroyed him.
