If you could instantly have one of the two, which would it be?

#1 Decent skills, but the ability to match up and get the nuts 100% of the time.

Or

#2 Great skills, but can't get the game right.

Not to say you couldn't grind away and improve at both. Just asking which would you have INSTANTLY if the choice were yours.

This shouldn't even be asked, IMO. Skills all day...that's the hard part. But then again, there are the gamblers who want to win and never get any better.......hmmm...good poll after all.

I would like to instantly conquer the "speed kills speed" phenomenon.

Is this some kind of trick question? I know that some people first learn to play, then they learn to gamble; and others first learn how to gamble, and then they learn how to play. But as far as I can see, if I woke up with Dennis Orcollo's skills tomorrow, after about few months and a few thousand in the hole, I'll have learned much of what I need to know in order to match-up and take the money down. As a matter of fact, a player with those kind of skills will sometimes outrun the nuts even if they've got no idea of how to matchup! On the other hand, who's going to learn to play like a world-beater in a couple of months or even a couple of years? 99.999 percent of us never do!

Often, when you become as good as Orcullo, you MUST give up the nuts to get a game. The game is no good for the other guy. If he(the other guy) wins getting marginal weight, he can't get another good matchup with anyone else for a long time. If he loses, well.......he loses.
