Isn't it funny ...
Ever notice that good players will usually have a nice playing cue, and even break cue, but will have some type of hybrid
jumping cue, either sawed off or another shaft on it or something like that ... lol
I have 2 jujmp cues, a Huebler which I did not like until I cut it down to 40 1/4" long, and a Frog which I bought from Robin Dodson in Vegas a couple of years ago. My first money match up after getting back home, I made 6 of 7 jump shots with the Frog, so I started liking it pretty well. I may end up cutting it down to 'Tadpole' size like I did the Huebler. I think the lightness of a jump cue, a good shaft, and a hard well shaped flat tip are most important for good jump shots.
No one ever mentions it, but I used to shoot the 'other' type of jump shot, which is to actually go over the top of the cue ball as you shoot through the jump shot, used for long jump shots.
Does anyone else ever shoot that type of jump shot I just mentioned?
