The favourites are in trouble.
Team Philippines now only leads by one 3 to 2 against Norway. However, if Orcullo wins against Tommy Wolff, the Philippines will advance to final 8.
Team Germany trails 0 to 2 against the great team from Great Brittain. Currently their 2 players are down 4 to 6 so they are on the verge of getting eliminated.
And team USA is down 1 to 3 against team Greece. However, if Archer and SVB win their respective matches, they can tie the score and go to sudden death.

Well, GB had 2 teams too. GB2 was eliminated in the last stage.
I think it's pretty stupid choosing to field two teams. Why have two diluted teams, when you can have one really kick-ass team? Unless you have a Team A (the kick-ass squad) and a Team B (the "junior varisty" squad).
For example, Germany split up Ortmann, Souquet, Hohmann, and Jentsch? What's the rationale in that?
It looks like Great Britain did things correctly, by keeping Appleton, Boyes, Peach, Gray, and Majid on their first team, while putting their "second-stringers" on the other team (that already got eliminated).

:wink: Not so fast. Orcullo is now ahead 5 to 1, race to 7, over Tommy Wolff. If Orcullo wins, it's goodbye Norway.

Truth to be told, I am happy with whoever team wins.
Philippines feels like my second home, so if they can win the gold I will be just as happy as if Norway does.

It is not over yet. Tommy Wolff can still catch up and beat Dennis. And even if the Philippines win, Norway has impressed me a lot with their strong showing.
Looking tough now.... But as Roy say - not bad from a 19 year old boy to turn the match from 4-2 to 4-7
I'm happy with the result - we did for sure not end up with a donut.
Many close races here, Japan was close to equalize (Strong of them to beat The Netherlands) and UK have proven strong.

Team USA is still holding on, Nostroke. It is a race to 4 and USA is currently down 1 to 3. If USA (SVB and Archer) wins their current matches, then they will tie the score at 3 all.
