HOLY SHIT!!

That is awesome looking!!! I have to ask a dumb question here. That wood, is it smooth? Man it just jumps right out at you, Talk about depth.

I have a bacote merry widow and a madasgascar rosewood merry widow. No pics on me now though. Bacote seems to be love/hate as far as looks but I like it and it hits real solid. The rosewood is has much less figuring but is a nice very deep red/medium brown color. Both have linen wraps.

I think it's hard to go wrong with good BEM or cocobolo with the right wrap and ringwork.

That smokewood looks way cool!!!! I bet my wife would like that on her cue. I will have to show it to her.

I have an old Schick Merry Widow cue from the 70's I am getting authenticated and shafts made for by Mr. Schick. The wife and I took a trip down to Shreveport to Drop it and another cue off.. will post pics as soon as I get them back.. borrowed the attatched pic from chalkers similar but not mine...:D

So what is a Merry Widow cue?
Just a regular cue with no inlays?

I thought it was a one piece butt, wrapped or not, with no inlays.
I see most of these have a forearm, handle, and butt sleeve construction like a regular cue.
So I ask ... what qualifys a cue to be called a Merry Widow?
