Want to see what is out there.
Looking for A Kenny Murrell Player. Birdseye and Ebony.
Traditional 4 pointer with some bright colored blue or purple veneers would be great.
18 to 19 oz. in weight. linen or leather wrap.
Hoppe style or inlays in butt section would be considered.

My budget is $1000 to 2000. I also have a TS true sneaky for a partial
trade if that would appeal to anyone. I have cash in hand and I am ready
to move for the right cue.

Recd a couple of pm's for some really nice murrells but I am still looking for
the right one. Please send me a pm if you have one for sale. Thanks.

How often, or recently, has a cue-maker dropped the ball with your cue order?
Your remark portrays a record of some really dismal experience.

I've found the delay the most bothersome even when the cue-maker hasn't
even yet failed to meet the estimated delivery date. It's the entire front end
time line from order to completion that's the most bothersome issue for me.
My current being built is taking 8-9 months from order to completion. Just
spoke with my cue-maker this week and he confirmed before end of 1st qtr.

Personally, I can indulge a waiting period of up to a year for a new cue but
anything much beyond that is hard for me to accept, not that I have to since
no one is twisting my arm to do so. However, I'm interested in a Ed Prewitt,
Hercek or maybe even a Tibbits cue as my next cue and I don't want to wait
3-5 years or longer to get one made that I like. I'd rather browse and see if I
can locate one in the secondary resale market and get to own it immediately
versus waiting a really long time to have one made.

That's the part about some custom cue-makers that immediately disqualifies
them from being considered for a new cue order, at least speaking personally.
Even waiting 3/4 of a year for my cue seems like an eternity to me so I just
can't fathom waiting 1/2 decade or longer for a cue from anyone.....I'd prefer
to find a seller and negotiate a price....probably wouldn't have the specs I'd
prefer buying a used cue but there's no wait other than locating what I like.

My sentiments exactly and thanks for taking the time to respond. I buy cues
to play with and I am not getting any younger. If I can't at least get a cuemaker
to give me an approximate completion date up front I am just going to take my
order somewhere else and or buy a cue close to exactly what I am looking for
on the secondary market. If I thought I could order a Murrell cue and take delivery
within a year I would do it but from what I have heard that would be a pipe
dream.

Still looking.

Hey man. My friend and I are currently working with Kenny on two custom cues. I am getting a nice hoppe style with four pt bright veneers and she is getting some extravagant Arthur style inlays. He said 12 to 14 months for completion and seems confident to deliver. We only started 2 weeks ago. Great guy and great communication.
