wtb willard tip machine

consider a lathe...

Hello,

Just my humble opinion,

but,you should really consider a mini-metal lathe... I have used the williard's tip machine and it does not compare at all to any metal lathe... if you decide to go fwd with the williard use extreme caution with the tip trimmer... it alone will cost you many $$$ due to damaged ferrules...

hope this helps...

I know what you mean. You have to be very careful when trimming down the edge of the tip. Though with a bit of practice it does do a pretty good job from start to finish. I think the willard is probably the best alternative to a lathe. I do not know of any good lathes that are in the same price range as the willard tipping machine. If anyone does, I would like to know more.

there's some guy here in town that says he does tips and he shaved off a decent amount of my ferrule. real dangerous
