Hello AZB, Fans and Members,
Yesterday was a bad day for me. But, it was worst for my dad, who is 89 years old. He fell and broke his hip, and was in surgery at the hospital most of the day and part of the night. He is in recovery right now. Now this is bad enough for one day! But there is more. One of my best friends, that he and I go back years and years together died. We use to hustle pool together all over the place. He was in charge of all side bets and keeping the money right! Getting the weight right, And getting the games for me to play.

We use to Drag race together, all over. When we were not shooting pool. He ran a Hemi Road runner, and I ran a 427 CI, Chevy Biscayne 4 speed, NHRA drag racing. The 2 phone calls I received yesterday to inform me these incidents were hard on me! I held this in me all day yesterday, not sharing it with anyone. I thought I could handle it with no problem. I was wrong! now to top this off, I go to Buffalo's Billiards, to clear my thoughts, and get in a match. Shot real bad! I found out a few more things about shooting pool, you need a clear head, no drama, no hang ups, be able to think clearly, not let you thoughts drift off on your problems! And last but, not least, not give your money away! You cannot shoot pool and worry about your problems at the same time. I thought I knew this first hand! I am Lock N Load! From Coast to Coast! I am also human, flesh and blood, I thank God for my life.

Since, I love pool and going to the pool hall I thought this would do me some good. AZB Fans and members it did not. You can't drown your sorrows in the pool hall. I admit though, it did help me some to talk to some of my friends in the pool hall, even though I did not share my problems with any of them! most people have enough problems of their own.... I Am sitting here now at the computer feeling sorry for myself. Thinking about how I should have called my friend day before yesterday when I was thinking about him and wondering if he was Ok! And thinking of my poor dad who is to old to be going through all, of this.

I ask and welcome all of your prayers for a speedy recovery for my dad... Thanks in advance. I might not be in the right frame of thoughts to start any new threads for a while. I thank all of the AZB fans and Members for your responses to my threads, about the pool hall activity. And for all of your input! Thanks everyone....
Regards,
Lock N Load.

MDavis228,
Your response brought tears to my eyes. Thank you very much for your wishes for me and my dad. People like you make it worth while to share something with! I needed this very badly... I thank you from the bottom of my heart to the top of my heart.

Sincerest condolences.

Hopefully your dad will make as speedy a recovery as is possible.

Condolences

LocknLoad,
My condolences, I wish I could say I havent felt that pain but eventually we all do. I do the same with my problems. I head to the pool room, when I know no one is there or go walking. That sort of thing makes you rethink everything. Youre in my thoughts.

I truly feel for you . As one who knows all to well , there are no words to describe pain of a broken heart, only that it hurts. We rest in the hope of God almighty and his sovereignty. May the peace of God which passes all understanding find you in your time of need.

From one old drag racer to another, I hope your dad has a speedy recovery!

(in 1970 I ran a Hilborn injected LT1 in a mostly plastic 57 Chevy C/Altered, and 10yrs later a 427 Camaro Super Pro)

Best wishes for your old man. :)

I hope you and he can find a way to come out of all this stronger and better.

May your friend rest in peace.

Perhaps we need the pains of life to make us feel the joys more?

Still, those of us who have lost loved ones send our condolances...

May your dad heal quickly.

L&L-

Tough news does seem to come in bunches.

Hang in there-what else can you do?

It's real tough to lose good freinds. I hope your Dad does well with his surgery-maybe he'll just have a 'hitch in his getalong' after the rehab.

Take care

Thank you Falcon Eddie.
