Really ?? Another chalk thread?????

Try the search function.

There has already been 300 chalk threads in the last 5 months.......

And, everyone already knows that Walmart Chalk is the best!!

Companies make new or change products and these 'repeated threads' is a great way to stay updated. We have 300 threads on everything here, people use AZ because it is a great forum not a great search engine:cool:

Exactly why I do not peruse AZ much anymore.

Groundhog Day comes to mind.......

At my club we have always used the blue master chalk, but I always ending up looking like a character from Avatar (Except from the muscles and the long tail on my back ofc). You get what you pay for.

I've been using Master chalk in the tan color for about 3 years now. Miscues are more or less a memory and I use hard tips. The tan keeps my hands and shafts stain free. I some times sell a cue and when my shafts are cleaned, waxed and burnished, they look almost new.

I am currently using both Master and Triangle, I can tell they have a little different. Triangle is a little bit more smooth than Master. It's personal perferences.

Blue Diamond for me. Hands stay cleaner and I miscue less. Miscueing is probably more of a mentle thing; but if it helps, it helps.

What's NIR? Is that the blue chalk in the yellow wrapper? that stuff is good, but I like Blue Diamond best.

I used to use older master and like that...

I tried the Magic Chalk from Russia and thats all I use now. It produces a lot less residual "dust" from getting all over the place, and IMO, sticks to the tip a lot better. I have used about 1/2 a cube in 4 months so its lasting me at least twice as long as the old Masters did.

Best Cue Chalk

Which one is your favorite? and WHY?

Masters "Green", because it is of a softer grade than the Masters Blue, it goes on the tip real silky and I rarely miscue with a properly attended to tip!

A cube last me about aweek TOPS!, but when I play, I play alot of pool!!!

How to get the longest use out of those expensive cubes of chalk

I second that -- Magic Chalk from Russia, for me. A couple years ago, I went to the "Dollar World" store, and bought a small belt-clip cell phone case with the magnetic lid (the lid that has a small magnet in it, and the mating surface on the base of the cell phone case is a small strip of steel). I clip that on my belt, and I keep my cube of Magic Chalk in there. The cell phone case is very easy to open, grab the cube, chalk the cue tip, and replace the cube back into the cell phone case. The lid automatically closes each time.

The reason why I use a cell phone case, is because I don't like the pocket or belt-mounted chalk carriers, because the part that holds the chalk cube itself, "assumes" you'll never use the chalk past the paper wrapper. I personally use my cube all the way down to the bottom of the paper wrapper, peeling down the paper wrapper as I go, almost to the point where the bottom "wafer" of chalk that is left is too brittle. (I'm a wiper, not a "driller" when it comes to chalking, so I wear down the cube of chalk evenly.) The pocket and belt-mounted chalkers don't allow this; the sides of the plastic or metal holder get in the way once the surface of the chalk wears down past it, so I like to keep the cube "naked" (i.e. not inserting it into any kind of plastic or metal "carrier") and using it by hand.

Why am I explaining my choice of a chalk carrier in a thread specifically about chalk? To offer a solution to make the best use of those expensive brands of chalk (i.e. Magic Chalk, Blue Diamond, et al.).

Hope this is helpful!
