The Czechs are giving China a good match. 4-3 Czech Republic.

Czech were running away and Hybler was breaking to get on hill leading 5-4
But Hybler scratched !!!

After that Czech never came back to table.
China just B&R a pack of 3 and Czech just got up to shake hands
What a comeback performance by China

next up Taiwan v Qatar. Ted Lerner called an upset by Qatar in this match LOL

:D

The commentary is easily some of the worst that I've ever witnessed. I have it on mute to watch -- I can't stand it!

LOL yes
Qatar can really play and more importantly they are supremely confident no nerves so far. And one of them Bashar nickname is "The Champion" :D
They are breaking very well and now leading 4-2
They may just run out the match :D

Matchroom has it right! Races to seven produce great drama, as do the Mosconi Cup races to six. The pressure is high because every mistake may be the one that cost you a match. You need to play with consistent excellence to beat all comers in this format. In addition, the best pool from a viewer standpoint is pool with a shot clock.

I'll add that Turning Stone and the World Cup of Pool have combined to remind me why I like nine ball over ten ball.

Thanks, Matchroom, for understanding what makes pool events exciting for viewers.

:) Go Qatar!!! I remember Waleed Majid(QAT) now. His performance in the 9Ball World Championship was fantastic. He placed in the final 16.
