The secret art of Pool - by Lee Brett

As I stated in another thread, Lee Brett, should have named this book the, 'REAL Secrets of Pool,' as every other book and video that I ever bought was nothing in comparison to the true fundamentals and difficult concepts made easy in his book. For advanced players, it will help you rethink...

The Secret Art Of Pool - Now Available

A must buy! Lee's book arrived a couple of days ago. For anyone sitting on the bench before ordering waiting to see what others think, it is outstanding! It encompasses everything that I had to painstakingly figure out on my own for 20 years and MORE. Lee Brett should rename his book the...

    Ebdon's plunger

I owned a Dufferin when I was a kid & wish that I would have never sold it. Peter could play with a broom stick or lead pipe. That guy can play. By far, his tip is more mushroomed than any tip I have seen in 20 years of being into cue sports.

    Ebdon's plunger

Absolutely! He is one to study. It would be interesting to hear his reason for playing with it like that. I wonder what the tip diameter is vs. the ferrule.

    Ebdon's plunger

I can't believe no one has commented on Ebdon's tip. :D Talk about a mushroomed tip. Wow. Has he always played with his tip like this?

    the grip

You might want to ask Ronnie O'Sullivan, Steve Davis, and Stephen Hendry about the back leg being locked. Work on your hold.

    Special Delivery...... :)

Ron's work is unbelievable. This guy is one of my top 3 favorites. Amazing. If you don't mind me asking, how long did you have to wait? I've got around 7 more years. Thanks for posting the pics!

    Chalk Poll

We are still talking about chalk after I haven't logged in here forever. I'm still using Blue Diamond (buy from Koinkid...he's fast & reliable) & as I've stated in all the other chalk threads from six months or a year ago if you don't believe Blue Diamond is better, you are only handicapping...

    Best layered tip?

Last last post on this as I've posted too many on this topic (& am not affiliated with kamui or anything although I recommend buying from KOINKID!) :) No offense taken Dakota. Feel is kind of subjective. That just happens to be my opinion on those. I think the black medium is hard. I still...

    Best layered tip?

I appreciate your comments. My installer is top notch. I demand it with ivory. For me, the black soft or brown medium are the way to go. To each his own. Done with the thread. Best Wishes.

Shaping Layered Tips? Did I get the wrong tip tool?

Hi Todd, welcome to the forum. I'm not sure how they will ship your cue. IMO, buy a Willard Cue Tip Shaper. Take a wood screw and mount it to a board & swivel the whole cue on the shaper. Good Luck with the new cue.

99 Critical Shots In Pool should be on dvd

This book is a must have in hard copy form if you play the game. It's easy to read & follow. One doesn't have to read it or study it all at once. IMO, the diagrams are easy to follow & nothing in the book is rocket science like the book the science of pocket billiards.

    Best layered tip?

The black medium will feel like a rock compared to a a lepro. I know it sounds too soft but go with a black soft or brown medium if you want the same type of feel. IMO, the brown mediums play similar to a Lepro once you are about half to 3/4 of the way through them with none of the mushrooming...

    Best layered tip?

Great post and very accurate about the hardness of the Kamui's. I read this after my last couple of posts.

    Best layered tip?

Great tip! For those thinking about what to buy. FYI the black Soft is like the Brown Medium. A black medium is super hard.
