Pool game played by retired Canadians.

Sounds like a version of Russian. We play to 100 exactly and if you go over you go back to zero. When you scratch you lose all points earned during that visit to the table.

    Snooker ball rack

The 'pro' triangle is VERY pricey (97.20 pounds is about $175 Canadian) and not worth it. I'm going to forget about it. Thanks for your help.

    Snooker ball rack

I appreciate the response. The links you provided were interesting but unfortunately don't tell me where to go to buy one or what the price is. Do you have such information? Cheers, Paul

    Snooker ball rack

Does anyone have any experience using the kind of rack you see referees use when racking for the world's best players (O'Sullivan et al)? We frequently get inconsistent racking in the league I play in. Does the pink ball go in the rack with the red balls, or is there a pointer at the top of...

What's Going On With Custom Cue Prices?

Point taken about online buying. I should have added that one of the guys I play with had two of their cues that he bought recently. I was impressed with the quality and feel. Ordered miine slightly heavier than his (20 vs 18 oz) and it was as expected. So I had a preview of the product.

What's Going On With Custom Cue Prices?

This thread is interesting reading. Just my opinion but the game and cue collecting are two different things. I play snooker, Russian occasionally. I play with cues that feel good to me. I just did something that I thought I would never do. I bought a production cue online from China...

Has Anyone tried a Day Time League for Seniors?

I live in a gated golf community where almost everybody (75-80%) is retired and in the winter we have daytime play. A snooker league in the morning on tables installed for the season in the pro shop (5x10s) and snooker/8 ball/9 ball/Russian in the afternoon on those tables and about 30 home...

Ultimate Argument: Pendulum vs Piston Stroke

Joel, you could teach golf! The pause. Missing in so many strokes.

Ultimate Argument: Pendulum vs Piston Stroke

Exactly riboner! Every golfer will tell you that there are many stroke styles, whether long shots or putts, but the only thing that matters is what the club face is doing in the short strike zone when it is going through the ball. The pros are ample demonstration of the truth of that. No two...

Pool wasn't the first thing that came to mind when I saw the term bar bangers, which I'd never heard before. Hehehe.

    The Hustler

I'm reminded of The Hustler every day I play snooker. Two photographs from the movie, one Newman one Gleason, on the wall.

    Settle this argument

jtompilot is right.. 2.067 inches is, basically, 2 1/16 inches (2.0666666666) rounded up to 2.067. That's size I use on my 10 foot table.
