I find this interesting. First everyone tried golden breaks when they saw it can be done quite often. I did not see matches but i believe they make more 1-ball from break in such way that cueball goes under 9-ball rather than hitting it.

It was not just kind words. I have experienced exactly same thing you said. Little tip for future. If you keep working on your stance and stroke it could still change position where your cue need to be. Everything is linked but now you know what to seek. :)

Hitting lower on cueball with faster speed can make most of swerve out from equation because most of it would happen after object ball is hit(hitting high on cueball make cueball swerve (almost) immediately). This of course works when OB is fairly close. From distance it won´t help so...
