How to choose between which case to buy?

If you can afford leather it is by far more durable than synthetic materials. It wont protect the cue better (a quality interior will do that) but it will last a life time where as vinyl will tear and show use very quickly. If your low on funds a vinyl case will work fine and if you upgrade you...

    Break cue questions

The Jerico stinger hands down is the best j/b cue I have ever hit. It has a conical tapered shaft but for a break cue it is exactly what I want. Ask and see his preference because he may not like a certain taper the mezz break cue is very solid if he prefers a smaller diameter shaft.

    Diameter of shaft

I couldnt play with anything less than 13mm, that just proves everyone is different. Find what you like and stick with it, dont let anyone talk you out of what feels comfortable to you.

Who had the greatest Break in History?

In my neck of the woods Tony Ellin's break is still talked about as being one of the best breaks. Unfortunately I never got to see him play in person.

    Improving as an Amateur

I dont think its just pros that play better when there is pressure. When money is on the line I think it focuses players. When im just playing I start thinking about things that have nothing to do with pool, but in a tourny or gambling I just focus on the table and my head is in the game not on...

Webt and played at Marietta billiards this weekend.

I went there for the gem city classic. I am not a smoker and did not notice the smoke. It is a topnotch poolhall. Between the staff and the regulars there is always a world class poolplayer around.

Would you buy a cue case for your old cues?

Who owes you the most money?

Chaz Dillon owes me 2 cases or $750. I have given up over a year ago and just chalk it up to living and learning. If a deal seems to good to be true it probably is.

Why do some cues feel like they were assembled

I had a cue that felt very hollow. I could feel a little buzz but couldnt hear it. I took it to a local cue builder and he said the dowel was not glued enough and he used thin super glue and fixed the problem in 5 minutes. The cue played totally different after that.
