Shane was just knocked out of the event by Zion Zvi.
I'm pretty sure I read that there's 200,000 in prize funds 50k to first n a1k entry but that can't be right can it? I'm thinking at large is the best person to ask

Darren is washed up, hasn't won anything since Chinese 8-Ball. FACTS!
I think he was jokingLMAO
please compare darren and SVBs resume
Darren :
World Chinese 8 ball
World 9 ball
World 10 ball
World Games
World 14.1
World Pool Masters
Shane:
World Pool Master x2
Regardless of who wins it, I don't consider it a world championship. It doesn't have the prize money of a world event and therefore hasn't attracted all the world's top players (although obviously some of them are there).
Then again, I don't consider the CSI US Open events to be "US Opens" either.
That's just my view, with no disrespect to either Charlie or Mark for promoting the game and putting on these events.
Next someone is hollering about USA gold in the 1500m is because of a slow pace.....

So when Shane snaps off the World 14.1 Dragon Promotions Steinway Billiards Straight Pool Championship, will he finally be considered as having a world title? Meesa thinks so.

Sorry, but the "World" 14.1 is not a world championship.

Must be that damn Cheqio...
You are very badly mistaken..Unless I'm mistaken, USA is ground zero for straight pool, with very few proficient 14.1 players coming from elsewhere.

The $200K minimum Prize Fund and the $50K First Prize are guaranteed for the upcoming US Open 9-Ball Championships in Norfolk, Va. next month, October 16-22. Should be full with 160 players.
