I recently had Mr. Koo, aka Flyingsnail, do a full restoration on this original 70's Adam 'Ritz' cue. I believe it's model AH-10. He did a great job and even managed to get ahold of some incredible white with green spec Irish linen direct from Tad's personal stock. Due to wonderful timing on behalf of the universe I'm in need of some cash so I'm putting it up for sale. The cue comes with the original 13mm shaft (brass 5/16x18 thread) that Kenny also reconditioned.

Price is SOLD which will include S&H, Joint protectors, and Paypal fees. Can take specific pics if needed. Upon arrival, if the cue is not as described I will refund your money minus shipping charges. Thanks for looking.

Fullsplice too!

This is a fullspliced cue too! It's a great hitting cue!! Good luck with your sale Rex!!! ;)

I have one of these cues in my personal collection. Really sweet looking old school cues, and they actually play pretty sporty, too.

Thanks Ken and Joe. I would love to keep the cue for my collection but the timing just sucks.

You are certainly right the cue is a Full Splice but not in the more familiar fashion that most people think of. This cue uses the same type of splice that Burton Spain made famous, and that Joel Hercek and Mr. Davis still use for blank construction.

Here are some photo's of an Adams Ritz that I refinished last year. These photo's were taken after I removed the wrap, they clearly show the splicing technique used by the gentleman mentioned above and also used on early Adams cues.

The top Full Splice cue in the first three photo's is the Full Splice that Burton Spain Engineered. The second cue in the photo's is also an Adam cue, however, this is what is know as a traditional Full Splice where from the points back the wood is a solid piece and it makes up the handle. It also appears that they used the Traditional Full Splice and Burtons Full Splice on the model in question, according to the photo of the cue in this thread with its wrap removed during refinish.

The photo below is how Joe Davis splices his blanks, notice the similar splice used by Adam.

Just some information about the cue, and good luck with the sale, some one is going to get a great deal!!!!:)

Have a great night@@@@@@

ADAM AH-10/Balabuska

I have had this ADAM AH-10 since the mid 1980's. Bought it then and never used it. Just started playing again, like 8 months ago, and had to have the Irish Linen redone when I started to use it as it was beginning to fray due to age . I also had the original shafts' tip replaced with a Moori Med. My cue weighs in at 19.5 and the shaft measures 13.25mm.

IMHO, this cue is the equivalent to, or better than the ADAM Balabuska Cues that are now so prevalent. This cue actually resembles the ADAM Mosconi cue. However, I am certain that the overall construction of these older ADAM AH-10 cues surpasses these newer cues.

I would doubt that the construction is much different, it is mainly the materials that are used. These cues are being made by the some people who made the originals, in the same factory in Japan. However, the Pearl in the newer models is plastic, the wrap is not Courtland, and the woods used are certainly not the same quality that were used in the 1970's when this model was first made.

However, with the above said, these new cues make great players, I have sold a large number of them. The price and the classic design not to mention the way they hit make them certainly a winner in my eyes!!!!

A bump for Rex. Just shot a few racks with this cue and it is really in nice shape. Not quite a cue for me, but for someone looking, this really is a nice cue and worth considering.
