Wowsers. Just being able to make that kick on the 1 even once would be enough for me!

BTW - The page for the new contest still shows the entry date cut-off as July 31st, presumably it should be AUgust 31st?

BTW2 - How do you want to go about delivering my glittering prize for the 06.07 contest? Is it an online coupon of some kind, or do you need to send something physically to me?

I actually tried out the first shot and made it in 4 tries. I wish I had a webcam :( and it was on only a barbox.

Hi Aunty,
Congratulate on your win for our contest last month. I will mail out the prizes early next week.

I am travelling in Boston now (just played with Fred the whole afternoon).

Awesome guys, 8 or 9 ft table this time. Im giving this one a try!!!

Wow! Nicely done.

Congratulation! Heath is the first place winner since he has got the full score and submitted first. His equipment is an 8x4 Slate table with Simonis 860 and pockets under 5 inches which is legit for this contest. Meanwhile, we are still accepting entries to compete for the second place ($150)

Would you like to share a few pointers for each shots with people so everyone can all learn a thing or two?

Just heard from Cuetable. Thanks guys!!!

Shot 1

For the first shot, this one took me the longest and was the hardest in m opinion. I found myself putting to much English on the shot a few times and had to adjust. Then when I would adjust I wasnt putting enough on it. I pretty much just picked a spot on the rail and kept adjusting my english and aiming for that spot. A few times I made the one ball and then when going for the bonus points I would miss the combo and have to start all over again since I was going for the perfect score. This sequence to about 30 mins for me to get down.

Shot 2

This was the 2nd hardest IMO. Getting shape on that 4 ball is not easy at all, I actually think it would be a little easier on a 9 footer since you have more space to get the cue ball between the 4 and the rail. I would come up the rail and over shoot it by maybe a balls distance a few times so I decided to not put as much juice on it and play position a little shorter, that way I still had the option of shooting the 4 ball in instead of not having a shot at all. After I made the 4 I played the cut with a little low because I knew was going to collide with the 5 ball and I wanted to keep them both on the same end of the table to ensure that I would have a shot on it. This sequence of shots took me about 25mins to get.

Shot 3.

This was the easist shot IMO. However it was easy to not get enough english on the ball, I had to hit with a lot of left english to make the angle off the rail a lot smaller and squeeze between the 8 and 9. This is another I think would be easier with a 9 footer because you have more room and wouldnt have to put as much spin on the ball. Just my opinion though.

The 5 ball isnt hanging in the pocket, there were a couple attempts I would kick directly into the 5 ball and it would just bounce off the rail since it wasnt in the jaws of the pocket. This shot took only about 15 mins. I made the bonus shots after the first time I kicked the 5 in. I got bad shape on the 7 (it is a hard shot to get any shape on the 7) so I played the bank and came off the rail to play the 8.

Shot 4

Shot 4 was the most fun. I played the jump shot and cut the 7 in (on my 8 footer then was a pretty thin cut) and came around, the position is almost natural for the 8 (if you dont scratch in the side pocket when coming around, I did that a few times) I got a lucky nudge from the 9 ball and played the 8 in the corner and came around 2 rails to put the 9 in the side pocket. This sequence of shots took me about 15 minutes to complete as well.

Overall I had a great time with this contest!!! Big thanks to Cuetable for allowing 8 footers in this contest. I acutally think some of these shots were harder on the 8 footer because it makes the position tighter and the cuts thinner. I have league tonite on 9 footers and Im gonna try them all there tonite just for fun with a bunch of the guys from league.

Thanks for the good time. Overall with the video transferring editing and shooting this took about 2 hours to do. I got off work early that day and knocked the video out in the afternoon. With or without the contest it was fun trying to emulate some of the shots of one of the best racks of 9-ball ever played.
