i'm chuck starkey, i have built approx 200 cues and have many happy customers. i have had 5 cues returned stating its too lite, too heavy, nice cue but i did not like the hit, ect. i had one returned, because an error was made and it was shipped before it had the final sanding and polishing. this was my fault, i did apologize and refunded the money the same day. the other cue was sold on ebay and returned , money was refunded. i relisted the cue and it was bought by the same guy. he had some work done to cue and sends me a email bragging about winning $19.00 and telling me how he loves the cue. he leaves a great feedback. after he finds out that i will not guarentee the other persons work, he goes nuts. i have had approx 1% of customers unhappy, but 100% are happy or recieved a prompt and full refund. i can live with that. if anyone wants to see the cue in question. just send me a shipping address. i will send cue at no charge. keep it a month show it around, see how it hits the ball, and you make your own decision. keep your head down. chuck starkey

its 1 % unhappy with the cue, but 100% were either happy with it OR fully refunded. He's trying to say he has taken care of every customer properly every time :)....now back to the popcorn

Mr. Starkey, do not let one nit get to you. You did what you could for the guy. He wants to make a lot of noise complaining. I think most of us here knew he was an A hole from his first post. Please don't worry about it, and welcome to Az Billiards forum. You probably have more to add to this forum than 10 guys like him. Now, lets post some things about building cues, answer some questions and have a good positive experience here.
Thanks for posting, Purdman:cool:

... let each of us prove individually that we're senseless idiots. :)

Mr. Starkey - Please post up some pictures of your cues in the Cue Gallery or put a few up for sale in the Wanted/For Sale forum. You will get some good honest opinions and feedback from the cue makers, collectors & players (not e-bayers). Your input will also help someone else.

I wish you well :)

Chuck's Cues

I had a starkey for a while and had many Vnea and BCA Master players in the Florida area play with it for a few racks.. In fact one of them bought it on the spot as he wanted it then to replace the Schon he was playing with. I have seen many nice ones and a few that I personally didn't like the appearence of, but having tried one I will probably purchase one again... In fact if he builds another spalted maple one it will have a new home

great cue

My friend bought a cue from you off ebay. One with a laminated shaft and a big a$$ wooden pin. It plays great; really solid feel.

Chuck,

I think it's great you came on here. Love to try one of your cues sometime.
Only others with wooden pins I can think of are Schuler and Helmstetter, both good hitters.

Jay, I ran across a production cue with a wooden screw coming out of the shaft. It's a Karella. I thought I had bought one on eBay only to find that the one I bought did NOT have a wooden screw. Here's a link to a description of one at Billiards Warehouse: http://www.billiardwarehouse.com/cues/karella/karella_kf-3.htm

Chuck
You'll have to go on every obscure billiard forum on the net and make this post...That's what your boy from Colorado did. I wonder if his "master cuemaker" is wondering "why did I get involved with this putz?" Yes I know who the cue maker is and he has my respect. Didn't whats his name claim to have had a copy of the Starckey cue in question made by unnamed maker?
I just hope he stays at RSB. He can thump his chest about getting banned from here all he wants.

unknown cue maker

i know the unnamed cue maker also, but lets just let it go at that. if i name him that just takes me down to their level. chuck

Thanks for stepping out and letting us hear your side, we knew that you had stood up give a dummy his money back even after someone else worked on your creation. Forget this pos and show the rest of us some cues,we know you stand behind your product. Enjoy posting here when you have time. Leonard

Welcome Mr. Starky to the forums.
I am looking forward to getting the cue we discussed.

Yes thanks to the idiot who started the infamous thread about Mr. Starky, I went and had a good look at the mans cues. I decided to contact Mr. Starky and I am buying one of his cues that is still in the works.

Nice! I love it when an evil plan backfires. Mr. Starkey, thanks for joining and telling us your side without diving into the mud. :)

Chuck, FYI, the guy who stirred that pot has been permanently removed from our company.

He is no longer welcome here.

You are.

Welcome aboard!
