Agreed. Sometimes people think they are strong with certain skills, or maybe they just have wishful thinking, but the numbers tell a truer story.

For those interested, Tobias Bongers (a German pro, FargoRating=714) just posted a total BU Exam score of 180 (with an Exam I score of 95!) on the $2500 BU Exam Challenge page. That tops the previous best by both Marc Vidal and Shane Van Boening. Very impressive! Here are his videos if you want to check them out:

My new table is definitely tougher than my previous 8 footer (which had even more-generous pockets), but it is still a joke compared to your recently-modified 10' table. I look forward to seeing how high you can score on your tougher equipment.

I just posted a new Exam II video filmed on my new 9' table. My new total score (80 + 80 = 160) is now close to what I was able to achieve on my 8' table in the past with the Masters version of Exam II (88 + 73 = 161). I will try to do even better. I am enjoying it, and it is excellent practice. It feels like it is helping my game.

Just watched the video. Excellent shooting! Nice recovery in the 2nd 8-Ball series and almost made the kick in the 3rd series. All you need to do is practice the kicks, banks, straight in shots and jumps and you'll be in the 90's. Practice those drills is a series and calculate your score reaching a goal that will put you in the 90's combined with the drills that are easy for you. This structure of practice will defiantly improve your score overall. Basically what I'm saying is take the drills that you are having a hard time with and practice them back to back in a series. Don't practice the same drill over and over again, you want to have at least one drill you practice along with it rotating back and forth or in a series if there are more than two drills. You only get one chance when doing the exam and this is the best way to practice the BU Exam Drills. That is a beautiful table, I wish I could play on it.

I agree with your recommendations for practice if I want to bump my score up. For example, after dedicated practice, there is no reason for me to miss any of those kicks. Also, the break should be automatic. Although, those banks are tough for me. Even with a lot of practice, I can't imagine ever being able to guarantee a high score on that drill on every attempt (but maybe I'll think differently after a lot of dedicated practice). The jump shots should also be automatic, but they still give me a little trouble. I need to improve my technique a little there. I know what I need to improve ... I just need to dedicate time to doing it.
