uuuuuh' you said no one makes a oversized 1pc slate then you changed your mind to the 9' 1pc full slate diamond uses...
Your slick glen'
A 30mm 1pc full slate...it must weigh over 1,000lbs! Do you still have those pics of the 10' frame.....? What supports the leveling wedges....? Plywood? Uuiuuuh......plywood vs 30mm 1,000lbs slate...? I see why diamond is using the 30mm slate, if they was to use anything less it would snap like a #2 pencil in that frame...especially when flipped on its side...
Wrong...guess again'
I'm just toying with you glen, we are all here to share conversation and information.
We all know you do great work, now time for a little more R&D'
:wave3:
Perhaps you came across the De Blasi tables when you spent all those years in Europe..
They machine their own slate and also machine the area which the slate sits on the frame.. They had been around since the 30's... The hardware on the tables that is about 30-35 years old is almost the exact hardware diamond use to hold the miter of the rails together....the frame and pedestals could hold a herd of elephants...and keep them warm at the same time.
