I am selling this for a friend that is very motivated to sell his 15 year old AE cue. He is the original owner and he since ordered 2 more that he plays with, but needs the money quickly. in the early 90's he paid $1150 for the cue w/one shaft and paid an extra $125/150 for a second shaft. After I told him AEs do not typically sell well on AZB I convinced him to lower the original asking price for a quick sale.
NEW Weekend Price: Asking only $750 shipped/ins in Cont USA. Need to sell this weekend!
Description:
The cue was made in the early years of AE, in those days the AE stood for Aardvark Enterprises. They have since distanced themselves from that name. The engraving was done by the renowned motorcycle (Harley tanks fame) and gun engraver Jerry Potts by hand since AE didn't have the equipment to do it in house.
The cue weighs 19.25 oz and comes with 2 13mm shafts with the standard AE taper. The ferrules are Ivorine III (may be ivory but because we're not sure, it's priced as ivorine III), tips are elk master. Everything is straight. The engraved AE is not shown but it is on the opposite side of the Aardvark engraving.
Although I do not have the cue in my pocession, I inspected the cue before accepting to post on his behalf. The cue is as described and appears to be the original finish in like 90% condition. This is a real find. Ebony points into beautiful Birdseye maple; inlays are ivory and purpleheart. The pictures will tell the rest. This is a really nice collectable old AE from the very early years 1992-1994.
Thanks for looking, Dave
