Boston Billiards has closed. CHeck out Country CLub Billiards, World Class Billiards (great 3-cushion tables), Rennaisance Billiards and The Corner Pocket Cafe at Waverly Oaks, and of course Snookers in Providence. I think most have tournaments in the middle of the week but some might have additional chances.
Snookers in Providence has a Wednesday night 9-ball tournament.
Starting time is 6:30.
Typically there are 50+ players each week.

9-ball Saturday tournament at World Class
Looks like World Class Billiards in Peabody is having a double-elimination handicapped 9-ball tournament twice a month now. They're on Saturdays and sign up starts at 10am and play begins at 11am. The ones this month are this coming Saturday October 17th and then October 31st after that. The entry fee is $22 I believe.
