Recently, I posted this same cue for sale. At that time the weight was not adjustable (no weight bolt) and it was a light cue (about 17.7 / 17.8 oz.). Many people might have passed on this cue because of its weight. The butt has now been drilled and tapped for a weight bolt(s). So I am offering the cue again in this new thread.

It's a beautiful sneaky pete from Paul Dayton with two shafts. Cocobolo spliced into maple. Brown phenolic joint collars and butt cap, with brass trim rings. Paul is a wood expert and a superb cue maker. The cocobolo used in this cue is outstanding -- deep reddish-brown, with streaks of black.

Length: 29" + 29" = 58"

Weight: The two shafts weigh 3.5 oz. The butt is adjustable, from 14.1 to 15.3 oz., using headless 3/8 - 16 weight bolts inserted with a 3/16" allen wrench. So the total weight is anything from 17.6 oz. to 18.8 oz. And the cue could easily exceed 19 oz. if a heavier shaft were used.

Diameters: 12.7mm at the ferrules, 0.832" at the joint, 1.247" at the bottom of the butt cap.

Joint: Radial pin, flat-faced wood-to-wood joint with brown phenolic collar and brass trim ring.

Balance point: 18 1/4" to 19 3/8" from the bottom of the butt cap, depending on the weight chosen.

Ferrule material: unknown (not ivory)

Tips: One Super-Pro tip and one unknown layered tip, both in excellent condition.

Condition: Very good to excellent. No dings or dents. The finish sparkles except as noted below. The only imperfections I see on this cue are the following:
  • The shaft diameters are slightly smaller below the ferrules than at the top of the ferrules. Perhaps some "maintenance" sanding/cleaning has had a small effect.
  • The shafts exhibit a miniscule wobble -- less than many brand new cues and irrelevant for purposes of playing pool.
  • The butt cap is more dull than the butt, as the result of smoothing out a finish chip (still slightly visible) on the butt cap.
  • The finish at the joint on one of the shafts does not sparkle, as the result of smoothing where the wood meets the phenolic.
I doubt that you will find a better made sneaky pete than this one at this price -- with two shafts and from a master cue maker.

$Sold in the USA.

Price reduced to $xxx with two shafts or $xxx with your choice of one of the shafts.
