Jeanette Lee's Room

I heard a rumor that Jeanette Lee opened up her own room here in Indiana. Just wondered if anybody knew whether or not this was true, and if so where it's at. Thanks.

I heard her and George were buying Airport Billiards on W. Washington St. in Indianapolis. Not sure if this ever happened, but I heard the rumor at the DCC last year.

SPIU,
False rumor (though rumor has it she would like to have her own room; but things would have to be just right - Airport would require SIGNIFICANT remodeling).

KNowing Jeanette Lee's personal drive and business acummen if she has set her mind on having her own Pool Room I'm sure it will come to pass before too long. That being the case I suggest we start working on a name for her.

How about "The Spider's Web"? Naah, too obvious. What about "The Pool Parlour" (You have to think about that one a minute) or, for that down-home feel, "Jen & George's place", or "J & G Billiards" if you want to go more formal?

Airport is fine the way it is, it's a pool hall not a fashion club.

The problem with anyone buying Airport is Danny wants too much money.

straight pool do you play at the rec center at the imu. I used to playthereabout 10 years ago are there any good games there also is it still 100 degress in their.

Yea that's where I usually play because I work there. We're starting to get more good players in there I think because people always see us employees playing and taking it pretty seriously. And oh yea you still sweat ridiculously in there. It because it's above the boilerroom.

I've played there several times. Lots of really nice people there.

J. Lee normally stops by and plays at Chalkies (I think that's the right name). Anyway I heard it closed for a while. Nice room with Diamonds in it.

Indy rooms....

From my perspective, Chalkies is a great room. I got some fairly cheap sets games easily. It is a non smoking room, but the traffic in and out to smoke of the room is a little disruptive.

I was there on a Thursday, and the APA league players play for free. The food is excellent and tables are Diamonds, my personal favorite. The pockets seemed a little big, but they are very tightly shimmed here in Terre Haute.

Airport seems to have the most action but is it not nearly as nice a room. It appears to be appealing to a different clentel.

Regards,

Ken
